I have been a hair colorist for 43 years. The way you analysize hair color is first you have to see the level of color. It ranges from #1 that is black to the highest level that is #13 which is blonde. If you want to lighten your hair and you are a level # which is a light brown, color does not lift color. You would have to bleach your hair first to achieve a lighter color. If you want to color it darker there would not be a problem. Then there is the tonal value. there is ash, gold, red. If you don't like the red tone it is difficult to get out. You can also use a semi-permanant color for deposit only. That will even everything out.
well wash your hair dye out first then after you have done that put a bit of conditioner on your hair that's what i do
buy dye and do it yourself or, get it done professionally at a hair salon.

A beautician can dye a persons hair blonde on top and black on bottom. It is done by coloring each half of the hair separately.
you may have to bleach your hair then dye it caramel___________ Caramel highlights on black hair are usually done with bleach and 20 V. developer, and a toner, if needed.
