Casually speaking, Hajj is the fifth and last fundamental pillar of Islam. It is the pilgrimage to the sacred city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia,specifically to the Kaa'ba. It is only required once by every Muslim to fulfill the obligation. The person who does this pilgrimage sincerely is forgiven all his previous sins. In this pilgrimage all humans come as equals to worship Allah in the purest place on earth wearing nothing put two pieces of garments.

Yes you can compare anything. Hajj and Lourdes are actually very similar. In both pilgrimages people are left changed and live a better new life. Also water and walking are huge themes in both these pilgrimages. Although there are some difference to as the founders of these pilgrimages were very different people Bernadette and Mohammed.
