You sqeeze the plant until a purpleish blue die come out and then you put it in your mouth, swish it around, and spit it out onto a canvas to make a beautiful painting.

What are indigo plants?

Although I'm not aware of any 'indigo' colored plants ('blue jean' or denim blue), there are some which produce naturally blue flowers: agapanthus, bachelor buttons, iris, corn flower, violets to name a few. The actual indigo plant is green, and through a process of fermentation, it produces the dark, intense indigo blue dye.

What causes coloring in flowers?

when white light(all the colors) hits an object, such as a flower, the flower absorbs some colors and reflects some. for example, a flower absorbs red, orange, yellow, green, indigo and violet, but reflects blue, then you see the flower as blue.
