Things in motion tend to remain in motion and continue in the same direction. That is inertia. Since the drum is round, it creates centrifugal force. The water presses out through the holes and the clothes can't The centrifugal force is dependent on the speed of the rotating drum.

In a spin cycle, water can continue to move under acceleration but the clothes cannot. When the washer enters the "spin and rinse" cycle, the clothes basket rapidly rotates, and the wet clothes are pushed against the perforated wall of the basket. The clothes are trying to move with the basket, but are affected by the outward component of their velocity (centrifugal acceleration). The water in the clothes is also subject to an outward force, but some of it can move through the clothes, and out through the holes in the basket. Rinse water sprayed on the inside will also move outward through the clothes to remove most of the remaining detergent.

There are always energy losses within the machine due to inertia, friction, etc.
Agitators in a washing machine help to move that water around in the machine and also the clothes. This helps break up the dirt and cleans the clothes.

what you call a machine that makes clothes is a sewing machine.

It is both. It is a piece of equipment used to wash clothes and it is a machine used to wash clothes.
You use the same analysis for anything moving in a circle or curved path. Look at an object in motion at a certain instant. According to the "Law of Inertia" (Newton's 1st Law) the object will continue in a straight line, and at constant speed, unless a force acts on it. So in order for the object to move along a circular like path, a force must pull or push it in toward the center of curvature. Now with water in a washer, once you start it spinning, there is not much force pulling or pushing it to move in a circle, except for the clothes that block its tendancy to move in a straight line. Eventually, however, the water seeps thru the clothes and then only the tub wall is available to push it into a circular path. But the tub has small holes so the water can escape. So the tub wall keeps the clothes going in a circle but lets the water escape thru the holes.
A belt sander is the name for a machine used for removing rough edges.
I would imagine that a washing machine is more likely to wrinkle clothes.
Yes! Of Course, if you put to much clothes in the machine all the clothes may not be cleaned.
The DNA replication machine is a collection of enzymes responsible for unzipping the DNA double helix, removing the hydrogen bonds between the bases, synthesizing the leading and lagging strain and then checking for errors.
