well i have a vizio and an insignia and both are great but insignia is probably better. if i had to pick a favorite of all tvs id choose samsung

I just approached this problem, I connected the antenna into the Insignia, an from the Insignia to the Tivo (Series 2), then from the Tivo into the TV. This way I watch Tivo and use the Insignia channels when I change to (Tivo) channel 3. Perhaps not a perfect solution but gives me both of their full capabilites.

Of course you can, however, I purchased an LED insignia and I've been having issues with my apple tv 3rd gen and the sound. It doesn't seem to work on occasion.
Apparently the Insignia TV's, at least, are manufactured by Orion, which also outsources for Toshiba.
