The number of representatives given to each state depends on the population. One rep is given for every 500,000 people, but every state must have at least one rep. Senators, however, are assigned in pairs to each state.
It depends on the state population
The count is determined by population of each state.
House of reps
Each state has a diffrennt number of reps. they each get 2 senates and the number is alwasy determined by the population of that state.
By the Virginia and New Jersey Compromises combined together to make the Great Compromise that gave 2 reps to each state for the Senate and population determined how many reps each state had for the house.
Each state is entitled to two US Senators.
two senatos per state ans 435 reps. Reps depend on the populatioon in each state!!:) Your welcome
The number of Representatives per state is determined by the population of each state. (Today, there are about 435 members at the House of Representatives session in all!!)
House of reps. based on population Senate, each state receives 2 representatives
The Great Compromise.Mixed the New Jersey and the Virginia Plan. From the New Jersey Plan it was determined the number of senators for each state (2) and all states would be equal. The House of Reps was determined from the Virginia Plan, where the number of reps is determined by the states population, making the bigger states more powerful.
the total # of representatives is currently 435, the number is determined by the population of each state,so that states with large populations like california, texas, have more reps then states with small populations like alaska
50 states, 2 reps from each state
This is the United States, where there is ot anything called the house of senate. There is a Senate which has 59 members, from each state. The other branch of congress is called the House of Representatives, and the number of reps in the House of Reps depends on the number that have been elected from each state district.
