YES! A runt is more susceptible to so many different health issues, and breeding runts, even if you are just trying to create very small dogs is creating more and more sick dogs. Not to mention that you are breeding for traits that are NOT part of the breed standard.
breed brothers and sisters
There is no actual breed of dog called "Teacup Pomeranian". The term simply refers to a very small dog of the Pomeranian breed. These dogs are often bred from two runts.
Runts was created in 1982.
There is no such breed of a tea cup chihiahua. These are simply the runts of the litter, often bread with other runts to create a smaller dog. These can be associated with more health problems. Most puppy chi's will fit in a tea cup when born, but will not stay that small....
Raciest comments can be harmful because they breed hate. Once hate is established between two people or group of people, fighting normally occurs next.
You just take runts and you breed them together. There is nothing special. They are the same breed just a different name. People add words like teacup or tiny to make more money.
To make a miniature version of a large breed dog will take years to do. You just breed the runt of the litter with another runt of the litter and continue to do so with other runts. And even then it may not work.
Two things that are harmful
they are small because that's how they were bred. Also called selective breeding. Runts from litters where kept to breed with other runts to make small dogs stay small. this article explains how mutations in a gene keep dogs small...it's really very interesting: http://www.livescience.com/7268-study-reveals-dogs-small.html

It depends on what species the runts are. The word "runt" simply means a very small individual - it's not a special animal.
It also depends on if it's purebred or a "toy" breed. Toys are not purebreeds, but are actually the runts being bred down to make them small. The Toy breed is unhealthy and do not have the same lifespan as a Purebred Yorkshire. My Yorkshires will range from 3-7lbs. They are Pure German lines, unlike the impure breed being sold stateside.
