How is life insurance marketing done?

The life insurance market is a heavily demographically charged market. Marketing via direct communications is a common tactic for life insurance. Renting mailing and calling lists are usually done for direct mail campaigns unless your company has the means to harvest data through it's own resource channels.
In short: Find the age and income that most fits your service profile then market to that group of consumers.
Direct mail campaigns can cost a bit of money so research list brokers carefully and pay only for quality lists with two points of contact information for follow up sales calls. It makes sense to also get psychographics attached to the list. An example would be Married Non Smoking Males in their 30's.
