Middle school is different from elementary school in many ways: Most middle schools change classes throughout the day, so you're constantly on the go. You'll have several different daily teachers and will feel a little less connected to them than you were with your homeroom elementary teacher. Middle school teachers expect more independence, self-support and effort from their students. Students change during middle school, too. Friendships sometimes dissolve, while other new friendships are formed. Students are going through puberty and hormonal changes and are each grappling with the changes to their bodies and minds as they step out of childhood and into the teen years. Students begin "dating" or going steady. And, sometimes, middle school students can be more cruel than elementary students (or even high school students). But middle school can be a wonderful experience for students. It brings certain freedoms they didn't have in elementary school and offers opportunities to participate in sports and other extracurricular activities that elementary school didn't have to offer. These extracurricular activities help the student develop self-confidence and pride in their talents and achievements.
So many things can happen in middle. In middle school, you start to have different interests than what you used to like. You kind of break away and get distant with your close friends and make new ones. Rumors are always around the corner. There can be some "cliques" or "certain groups" of people according to stereo type, personality or outlook of them or "fitting in." There are a lot more fights because of dating, crushes, boyfriend/girlfriend, disagreement and puberty. Almost everyone starts to date in middle school or you can stay single (which is the best thing to do because it can create a lot of jealousy, tension and rumors around your friends).
This is my last year of junior high I will be going on to high school this year and i remember i was dramatically nervous about middle school and the first day is scary but you get use to it , you will make new friends and its alott of fun by the time you know it your already on your way to high school. just be on task and don't start issues with your peers ,thats when it goes downhill for most. there will be people you dont like and who arnt fond of you. dont talk to each other and be civil.
junior high is a very fun time, youll love it.
When you go into middle school, you have to start acting more mature. It's also when your parents should start you trust you more because your older and more responsible. So when you go into middle school don't try to be someone your not just be yourself because then people will want to be your friend for you and not for someone your not. And, you get 6-8 teachers instead of one or two. More homework.
Depending on the school system you may have 6 or 7 periods where you change classes and passing times. Some schools have an elective class that you can choose from on a list. So, you will have 7-8 different teachers each day and giving grades.
There's junk food, soda, contests, music, not very much dancing, and a lot of talking.
