if you really think about it there is clues to this
- jack the giant killer, the mirror could of killed jack but that didn't happen. remember back in the first book when mirror striked lightning at Sabrina, puck and daphne and put a fire around them.
- stuff from the mirror was "stolen".
- the mirror chose jack to kill the giant
yes, when I reread the first book, after finding out who master was, I figured that they hatched a plan together...also, in book 7, one of the peephole mirrors i the secret room was in Jacks apartment (though I don't know how they know that...theyve never been there), and i realised theyd arranged it, and mirror knew what would happen when they hepled break out Jack...
