From a Christian stand point and referring to obedience to God - 1 John 5:3 says: "For this is what the love of God means, that we observe his commandments". There really are no other ways in which we can "show" love for God other than listening and obeying him. This includes showing love for our neighbor, talking to him in prayer, taking in knowledge of him, following his moral guidelines, and teaching others about him. All of those are things he has instructed us to do.
As regards to relationships - Obedience in a relationship can be a sign of love, but it also can be abused by the person who is giving the instructions. The Bible says that wives should listen and have deep respect for their husbands. It also says that husbands should love their wives as their own body and treat them as they would a delicate object. (It does not say that wives are a delicate object, but says that husbands should treat them as one and this would assign them honor.) Husbands who are tyrannical over their wives are not following the example of Jesus. Husbands are to treat their wives as Christ treated the congregation. So that would include having compassion, understanding, patience, and a tremendous amount of self sacrifice. It takes both people taking on this role to make a successful and loving marriage that is following the biblical outline. Of course no relationship nor any person is perfect, but applying bible principals even after a disagreement would be beneficial for any relationship.
An authoritative parent demands obedience as (d) compliance as a sign of respect. Such parents tend to be rather rigid about what constitutes respect.
One of the greatest acts of worship and love is showing compassion and kindness to others, regardless of their background or beliefs. It involves selflessly helping those in need, showing empathy, and treating others with respect and understanding. By practicing compassion and kindness, one can embody the essence of love and worship in their actions.

Personally for me and based on my believes obedience is better than sacrifice because obedience is how you show your love, it could be towards your parents, extended family, teachers and even to you country.Sacrifice is also good depending on your motives.
humility, obedience, love, and compassion
The older person may see obedience as a way to maintain order and discipline, to uphold societal norms and values, and to ensure smooth functioning of systems and relationships. They may also view obedience as a sign of respect and a way to prevent chaos or conflict.
It is not a sign of love. It is a sign of insecurity and lack of trust. It is very destructive in relationships.
Love was something you had towards God, because he commanded it. You showed it through obedience and asceticism.
