In order to be eligible to take the ADC Final Examination, candidates must first pass an occupational English test (within the last two years) and a multiple-choice preliminary exam. The final examination is held only in Australia. Candidates are required to obtain a temporary entry visa and pay all expenses. Candidates are allowed to take this exam as many times as they like, so long a the fee is paid each time. Upon successful completion of the final exam, an ADC certificate is issued, allowing the candidate to register with any of the Australia dental boards. All exam exercises will be preformed on a manikin over the course of one week. The exam will cover all aspects of general dentistry and possibly areas of orthodontics and pharmacology. Procedures are timed and graded on the same level as new graduates of Australian dental schools.
