(this is not an answer its just to go into further detail what im looking for) Oh and to go along with the question i know that it has to do with an active secretion of a solution that is basically sodium chloride from the rectal gland in the kidneys. But im still confused how that causes the salt to be removed from the blood and exit the body in the sharks urine.

What removes salt in body?

One ; do not ingest any more salt ( Sodium chloride (NaCl) , table salt). Two ; your kidneys are your natural filters. They will remove most unwanted chemicals. However, The human organism does require, both chloride ions and sodium ions to function. So the kidneys will only remove the excess leaving the sodium ions and chloride ions in balance /equilibrium with the other body functions.
