There is no salvation in a Christian sense in Buddhism, that is there no deity judging you to determine if you are good enough to enter heaven. Rather we create suffering and happiness through our own actions. The Buddha illumanates a path that terminates at the end of all suffering, Nirvana or even full realisation. This path may require countless lifetimes to reach the goal of Nirvana.

Salvation is not aconcept in Buddhism. In religions with salvation, it entails forgivenss of "sins" by a deity so the believer can enter into "heaven".

In Buddhism there is no deity, no heaven and no heaven.

What there is is gradual learning over many lifetimes of how to live skillfully following the Eighfold Path. when that is attained and enlightenment is attained a Buddhist may enter Nirvana, a state where the last desire, that of holding a sense of self, is finally conquered.
