The higher the substrate concentration, the higher the rate of reaction, up till the point when the limiting factor is no longer the concentration of substrate but other factors like enzyme concentration of temperature.

Concentration is one of the big three motivators of increased enzyme activity. As long as the substrate is in abundance the increased concentration of enzymes will increase the reaction catalyzation.

The rate of the reaction is increased. The Vmax of the reaction is decreased, thus decreasing the required amount of substrate concentration to equal the same rate.
