Well (in my opinion), when they have their "human skin" on (when they look human and have the same abilities as humans eg: they are not ill when near iron and their wings don't show and they don't have as many powers as they would usually have), they live in the human world (they usually only do this when they have their human skin on so that it is safe like I have just explained), when in "fairy form" and they have all of their powers back, they look like fairies and they have their wings back, ect: they live in the fairy world - either the Unseelie Court: The bad fairies, or the Seelie Court: the good fairies. They can be human size or they can be a smaller size, when in their world they can turn small and go into trees where they live, it is like a tall flat for them with everything they need in it. Their habits depend on the sort of fairy, like humans they are not all the same and do consequently not like the same stuff as each other, so they have different habits and ways of doing things.
Maybe........why don't you ask the human tooth fairy?
No! If she was full fairy... then yes. But she's a Human, Fairy.
Nope.
Tinkerbell is a fairy!
Tamisin is a teenage girl who is the daughter of Queen Titania (of the fairies) and a human man. The story of her birth was recorded in Shakespeare's A Midsummer's Night Dream. She is a "halfling" and possesses qualities that are a mix of human and fairy such as wings but human strength. She is adopted by human parents and has grown up living in the human world.
They believed that, on that day, the barrier between the fairy world and the human world was thin enough to be moved between, so fairies could enter the human world and wreak their havoc.
A half fairy and half human is typically referred to as a "half-faerie" or "half-fey".
It's different for every fairy.
A Fairy.
