How is the performance of the 1991 Chevrolet Corsica V6 multiplet?

I'm assuming "multiplet" is Multi=Port-Fuel-Injection, yes?
Performance is pretty good. Fairly powerful engine in a very light car. Reasonably good power train. Very peppy, good scat from red lights, and more than ample power for passing and accelerating up short interstate entrance ramps.
I'm told you can get power chips for the ECM to improve performance, however this may affect the emissions on the car, causing it to fail state emissions inspections, if you're "lucky" enough to live in such a place, but my biggest objection is that one of the Corsica's few faults is marginal brakes, and as such is not a good candidate for performance upgrades.
