How are time zones related to earths rotation?

Earth's surface is divided into 360 degrees of longitude: 180 degrees east west of the Prime Meridian. Since Earth rotates at a steady rate on about 24 hours, its 24 standard time zones are centered the same number of degrees of longitude apart. The number is 15.

What is Earth rotation?

The rotation of the Earth is the Earth spinning on its axis, the pole extending from north to south, once every 23 hours 56 minutes and 4 seconds, roughly. Revolution is the word describing earth's yearly orbit around the sun. There are several implications of the Earth's rottation, for example: days and nights, timezones, different length of the daytime during the year (it's because rotation, revolution and axial tilt of the Earth). You can observe Earth's rotation, solar time changing, seasonal Earth's time changing etc. on Earth Time Clock (see: related links)

What is the difference in arrival time between P and S waves equivalent to?

This value is related to the distance of the seismometer station from the earthquake's epicentre. The larger the difference in arrival times, the greater the distance.

Earths axis of rotation is tilted at an angle of 23.5 degreeswhat is one change you would see on earth if its axis was not tilted?

There would be many changes. First there would be only one season all the time with minor differences when Earth is at perihelion and aphelion. The time of sunrise and sunset would not change and at the equator there would be 12h or night and day.
