It probably ISN'T possible, since nobody has managed to travel faster than the speed of light. However, if you travel faster than the speed of light, that is equivalent to travel to the past. That is, if from one point of view you get (for example) from here to the star Toliman in a single year (light takes about 4 years), then from another point of view you'll have traveled back in time. This would let you travel back in time first from one point of view, then back in time from another point of view; as a result, you could come back to Earth (for example), in the past. For more details, check the Wikipedia article or other sources on "Simultaneity", specifically the sections on the the Special Theory of Relativity. The Wikipedia article would be "Relativity of Simultaneity".

Is it possible to travel at a negitave speed?

Negative speed isn't possible, but negative velocity is.

Is it possible to travel at the speed of light in water?

The speed of light in water is less than the speed of light in space. Only light can travel at the speed of light.

What is the highest possible velocity of electromagnetic phenomena and light?

All electro magnetic radiation (including radio waves and visible light) travels at the speed of light or 300,000 km/sec

What color of light travels with greatest velocity?

All colors of light travel with the same speed.

How To Travel At The Speed Of Light?

You can't travel at the speed of light. It might be possible, in theory, to approach it, but not quite to reach it.

How do you think it would be possible to travel at the speed of light?

The only way to travel at the speed of light is to not have any mass.

Is it possible for any type of particles to have velocity greater than the velocity of light. Justify your answer?

Short answer: Yes. Long answer: Yes, it is possible for particles to travel through a medium (not a vacuum!) faster than light can travel through that medium (not a vacuum!), which gives rise to Cherenkov radiation. Tachyons - a type of superluminal particle that is theorized but has never been observed - should be able to travel faster than light, but they would not be able to travel at or below light speed.

Is the velocity of X-rays constant?

Yes, all xrays travel at the speed of light.

Will light speed travel be possible in our lifetime?

Probably not in five lifetimes! Light speed travel is a work of fiction, like in sci fi movies. No human will ever travel at the speed of light.

What does travel velocity mean?

"Travel velocity could have two definitions. Travel Velocity is a web page that advertises and sells discounted airline, hotel, and other travel deals. Secondly, a general reference to travel velocity is the speed at which sound or light travels in relation Physics."

How fast can light travel up to?

c is a constant variable commonly known as "the speed of light", but more correctly the velocity of the speed of light ought to be called "the velocity of the speed of electromagnetic wave interactions". And it is precisely 299,792,458 meters per second.

What represents the velocity of a light wave?

c = f x ^ (velocity)
