Doctors are in demand, especially general practitioners. There is actually a shortage of general practitioners or family doctors, because so many doctors these days choose to specialize. If a med school grad enters general medicine, there should be no problem finding a job, especially in rural areas.

If I am correct, Snead State is a community college, so it could not confer a doctor of medicine degree, but you could attend Snead State, graduate with your associate's degree then use those credits at the University of Alabama, graduate with a bachelor's degree from there, and then apply to medical school. University of Alabama also has a medical school in Birmingham, and it is actually quite nice. I was there on a conference once.
