3.5 if memory serves. The 400 has the shortest stroke of all sbc. With a crank change I think you can use 350 rods but verify-it's been a while. Get a catalog from P.A.W. in Ca. They have more engine stuff than anyone else & tons of kits.

The "Vortec" engine is almost the same as an old school SBC, all things being such, the push rods are a little different for the OEM roller cams.
