Can I Leave Home At The Age 17 In Delaware Without My Parents Consent?

No, the age at which a person is no longer considered a minor under Pennsylvania law is 18!!. A minor leaving home against the wishes of the parents or guardian can be picked up by authorities and remanded into the custody of PA. Children and Youth Services. Pennsylvania is a state whose laws pertaining to minors are confusing to say the least. Each county establishes codes that relate to what a minor may or may not legally do, including the option of petitioning the court for emancipation rights. However, state law determines the age of majority, a classic example of convoluted logic in action.

Is it okay that a 16 year old go with a 18 year old?

As long as there is no sex there is nothing legally wrong with the relationship. Since the 18 year-old is legally an adult and the 16 year-old is legally a minor if the two were to be, "caught in the act" it would be considered statutory rape. All that means is that the sex was consensual but, due to the fact that one is an adult and the other a minor, the sex is illegal. Now, the loophole is that if the Minor's parents/ legal guardian don't press charges against the adult, then I guess there is nothing wrong with it; but, it's better to stay on the safe side, you either ask permission from the minors parents/ legal guardian( good luck with that) or the couple doesn't have sex at all.
