no that is why you squirt water on them to kill them (drowning) which is kinda sad in a way i mean think about it, what if you were that poor little bee!?
This is not true.
I've had bees in my bird bath and dogs water for 1/2 a day or longer and they have survived.
They may look dead, not move, but take them out, warm them up and they may just come back from the DEAD.....
no. they have nothing that could propell them under water, and they breath via diffusion through holes in their body... the gradients between substances in and out of a bee's body would be too different to the air for it to breath. same with most other insects.
This is so not true.
Yes, they may look dead, but take them out of the water, warm them up and they may just come back to life.
I've had a Bee take over 5 minutes to finally start to wiggle an antenna or leg.
Sometimes you may have to coax them to start moving again, but they just may surprise you and live another day....
depends on how much air the bee had before it went under the water
Ive Seen A Bee Under Water For over a minute.

It depends on the species of bee. With solitary bees they will live alone, but with social bees they live with the colony. Honey bee drones could not live alone because they depend on the worker bees to feed them.
