Once, in an attempt to kill an ant, I actually decapitated it unintentionally. Horrified yet morbidly curious, I saw how long it survived, and I was surprised to notice it lasted about 10 minutes in a state of writhing and twitching. After that, it responded to stimuli for another 5 minutes or so and eventually died.
What's interesting is how coordinated the movements are for the first few minutes. After this, however, the ant slowly loses functionality.
*today(August 3rd 2014) a friend of mine managed to decapitate a rather large carpenter ant, this was around 3PM. it is now 5:15 PM, and the ant's body is still alert, and reacts when you touch it. once it stops moving, I will post a time, so far over 2 hours of activity!
A frog dies immediately if its head is removed. However, its internal organs will continue to function for several minutes, even though the frog is technically dead.
a few days after which it wll die of thirst/hunger assuming no infections entered the body and it didnt lose too much fluids when the head was severed
A few seconds at most. A snake's head contains it's brain, which controls vital functions such as heartbeat and breathing.
it can't "live" without its head. it can however receive nerve impulses. basically it may twitch.
Approximately 8 to 10 days. They don't need to live off food everyday like humans and mammals.
i honestly have no idea
No. As with any other insect a wasp's abdomen contains vital organs.
The lifespan of a wasp nest depends on the species of the wasp, for example new queens or males. A male wasp can nest from April to August. A queen wasp can nest from April to October. Many wasp die off but the queen goes off into hibernation and returns in the spring.

Depending on the type of wasp, some live in nests and bykes, other types of wasps such as a parasitic wasp, lays there egg in another indict so their young live temporarily in the body of their host victim. A few species of wasp live in small tunnelled holes in the earth.A wasp lives in a nest or hive, usually on the corner of the house or next to the windows outside the house.
Wasps, like all insects, are invertebrates.

It can live as long as you don't kill it or it stings you over and over till it loses it's stinger. A wasp can sting you mulitable times.
