Depends on the size of the cup.
What Faraday basically said was that when you burn a candle, you see the formation of a "beautiful cup". This cup is formed as the air near the candle moves upward due to heat of the candle.
The only completely safe candle is one with a flame-shaped LED-light on top instead of a real flame. A fairly safe real candle is a tealight, since those lights usually come in an aluminum cup and will safely burn out.
the candle light turns off when the cup is placed over the candle and water rushes in due to atmospheric pressure . when cup is placed on the candle all the air goes out and the glass lifts up due to the atmospheric pressure releases from outside of the cup as there is no air inside to balance the pressure exerted out of the cup . thus when the glass lifts up and the water gets into the cup .
It takes about 6 or 7 seconds we did a test wiv it
You have to melt wax on the stove. Get a cup, ( about 3, or 4 inches tall). Get a crayon, and the candle. For this the candle has to be mini. break up the crayon (about 1 inch a piece), put them in the cup. Then put wax in the cup with the crayon and stir until all the chuncks of crayon are gone. The wax will be the same color as the crayon. Then sit the mini-candle n the cup of colored wax. DONT TAKE THE CANDLE OUT!!! Leave the candle in there and it stays in there cuz that is the candle. when it all drys you can decorate it with sparkels and other things.
The candle burns the oxygen creating a vacuum so the water level rises inside the cup.
If you put an enclosed container over a candle, after a few minutes or seconds, the flame will go out. This is because when the candle burns, it releases carbon. The air around the candle contains oxygen. The carbon and oxygen combine forming carbon dioxide. When there is no more oxygen to combine with, the flame goes out.
If burning, the candle will use up all the oxygen and go out.
4 days. after that invalid
On the Red Bucket/cup
if you add 100 gr. (half cup ) and you operate 5 h at night only , it will hold for 3 weeks
If you know the basic effect that fire feeds on oxygen it would be easier for you to understand. when the cup covers over the candle, candle flame takes all oxygen inside the cup away, and something needs to be replacing that oxygen, therefore water goes into place
