The Lunar Rovers were small electric cars that the Apollo astronauts took to the Moon with them, and left there. The rovers were big enough for two astronauts, and could carry several hundred pounds of rocks and tools.
If you could go back to the Moon and bring it back to Earth, you wouldn't be able to drive it; the rover would collapse under the weight of two people in Earth gravity. But on the Moon, things only weigh about one-sixth as much as they do here.
I think this is a question about Escape Velocity. The Escape Velocity for the Earth at the Earth's surface is 11.2km/s (around 2,200mph).
That is the speed you would have to launch an object if you wanted it to leave the Earth permanently without any further thrust.
If you haven't noticed 11.2km/s is very, very fast. Indeed much too fast for most objects not to simply burn up in the atmosphere. If you have seen a rocket launch you will see that the rocket does not leave the ground at 11.2km/s. Because rockets have a continuous thrust (rather than a momentary one) they do not leave at the escape velocity but accelerate over time.
The Escape Velocity drops remarkably quickly with increasing distance from the Earth, hence it is easier to escape from low-earth orbit than from the surface. Once in space a craft can use smaller rockets to escape.
It is important to note that rockets do not need to achieve escape velocity to reach space, only ships which are not supposed to return need to reach the local escape velocity (eg. the Voyager probes).
It depends on what kind of spacecraft we're talking about. There's this type of spacecraft called 'Flyby' Spacecraft. Flyby Spacecrafts are those who cannot observe distant objects. They would just flyby planets, asteroids, or whatever, and avoid being caught by a planet's magnetic field, or orbit. Please be more specific :)
The Apollo space draft had a crew of three. The international Space Station (the closest we presently have to an operational space craft) has a maximum occupancy of 6 crew. Future programs can have crews of any size depending on the design of the ship. Multigenerational ships (as proposed for decades long trips to the nearest stars) may hold several dozens or hundreds of people.
