Egg to Baby: about one minute
Baby to Toddler: about one hour
Child to Teenager: about one day
Teenager to Adult: about two days

∙ 15y agoIf you are talking about growing up, the farhest they can go is an adult. If you make your tamagotchi get married, the generation grows.If it is generations, it can go very far if you take care of every one.

∙ 14y agoOne generation in any Tamagotchi version is when your Tama grows up, and gets all the way to Tamatown, their home planet. Once they leave you with their baby, the next generation has begun. It depends how long it takes to get your Tama all grown up, if you pause it or not.

The speed of the development of your tamagotchi all depends on how you treat it. If your tamagotchi is happy and not hungry, and you play a lot of games with it, it will evolve quicker. Pausing your tamagotchi really does interfere with the growing process so if you are capable of looking after your tamagotchi with no pausing DON'T PAUSE IT! The rest just comes down to patience, for the tamagotchi to go through each process it can take around 3 days on a constantly happy and healthy tamagotchi. Don't give up on it though, keep it healthy and happy and I can assure you it will grow. If you really want to speed things up and glitch your tamagotchi a bit, and want to go to the extreme, debugging is an option I guess. However, debugging is extremely risky and can break your tamagotchi forever so I don't find myself recommending. For more information on debugging you can search it up. Thanks -elidee8
When will the machmaker come on your tamagotchi?
For the Tama-go Tamagotchi, the matchmaker doesn't come to your house. Instead on the Tama-go you have to visit the dating place on the 'door' selection. It won't come up when your Tamagotchi first morphs into an Adult. Your Tamagotchi has to be 6 years old, in order to go to the Dating Place. You can go as many times in the day, but you only get 3 young adults and if you say 'NO' to all. The only Tamagotchi that comes is Ojitchi for a girl and Otokotchi for a boy. 3 more young adults come the next day. For the Familitchi, when your 3 Tamagotchi are adults for at least 1 day or so. You go onto the Dating Channel and you'll pick which one you want to marry. Then the matchmaker will select a few males/females for your selected Tamagotchi to marry. For the V4.5, the matchmaker comes when your Tamagotchi is an adult at either the age of 4 or 5. For the V4, the matchmaker comes when your Tamagotchi is an adult at the age of 4 or 5. (That's all I can remember for all the Tamagotchi I have gotten, lemme know if you have any information for the V3, V2 and V1. )

If by console you mean another tamagotchi toy this is how you can get it married... Once your tamagotchi is old enough and hasn't fallen in love with a friend/other tamagotchi, a matchmaker will show up and match your tamagotchi with another tamagotchi. It will then ask whether you want them to marry or not. Click yes and your tamagotchi will be married and will have an egg for your next generation.
