I just read that in warm climates 6 years and in colder climates, 10 years. Having said that I have a travel trailer with a spare that is about 18 years old. A tire guy at one of the shops looked at it and said it was still OK. I would get them checked by a reputable tire shop before installing or using them, just to be safe. They usually don't charge just to look at them.
