usally the mama red-eared slider just lays her eggs and leaves them all alone but if a red eared slider is kept in captivity the mama takes care of the baby until the baby shows its mama that it can stand on its own two feet which is usally 2-3 months after it is hatched.

slider turtles can live for 40 years if they are well taken care of.

if your turtle is a male you will see a bump on either side of its tail. if its a female its more likely to be aggressive and will only have a slight bump on either side of it's tail.

ive heard it depends on how long their claws are? does that include for baby slider turtles as well?

About two-three inches long. Don't worry, they'll grow!

yes, they can hold there breath for a long time

The mother takes care of the baby until it has probaly fully developed.

2 weeks if hibernating but awaken only 3 days

2 years. It is a group effort and all the females help with babysitting and taking care of the baby.

I don't see why not. Although the babies of these common southeastern turtles are mostly meat eaters of insects and such as long as they have enough room to roam they should be ok.

not very long. it is best to keep your red eared slider in the water.

Sure as long as you see to the needs of the baby and make sure they are safe and taken care of.

Well, SpongeBob is the one who found him as a baby, and took care of him for a short while. He didn't stay a baby long though. When SpongeBob himself was turned into a baby though, he was of course incapable of taking care of baby Krabs.

A vampire bat has been known to care for its young all through a pups(baby vampire bat)baby life.

As long as you get good medical care and take care of yourself with proper nutrition then there is no reason you can't have a healthy, happy baby with no bad health problems for baby or mom.

how to use the slider....when a long note is played, notes you would usually use the whammy bar with, tap the note on the slider bar, and go back and forth on the bar, and it'll make a wah-wah sound(EX:cry baby wah-wah pedal)....hope i helped

"The Red-eared Slider is commonly kept as a pet and often sold cheaply. As with other turtles and tortoises, it can be difficult to care for and can live up to forty years." ~from:"

The parents care for them for 3 to 4 weeks. After that, they're on their own.

The mothers do,but not for long. They leave their baby to care for itself

About 3 weeks the they leave to hunt

You can hold a red ear slider for about 10 to 15 min.

Depending. If it's a tiny baby there would be problems but with a baby from about at least 4-5 inches long he should be safe with an adult. The only problem would be if it was a male. My answer: If the adult was fully grown and the baby was new born, bad idea. There's a good chance the adult may try to eat the baby. I know because I have two red sliders, one a bit younger than the other :)
