That depends upon the temperature setting of the refrigerator and the condition of the fish when placed in the refrigerator.

Plan to store fish close to freezing and use within 1-2 days of purchase. Depending on the fridge temperature and exterior climate, fish can be refrigerated maximum for a couple of days in mild weather, maybe even hours in tropical zones, before it will start to decompose. If you freeze the fish it will stay eatable for a couple of weeks, again depends on the freezing temperature. Some restaurants and plants in the seafood industry have cryogenic freezing technology, that can keep fish fresh for months, even years. 3 days.

Freezing fish is the best way to store it. It can be frozen up to 2 years if frozen properly. Place the fish in an air tight container or freezer bag or freezer paper.
