In 1825 there was no Los Angles so your answer is no time, but if you wanted to cross the country it would have been by horse in those days. Depending on what month you started ( if you started in late fall it would take longer because of winter snow in the mountain passes) and on horse it would take several months. The average person can travel on horse back about 10-15 miles a day. The distance between the two cities is about 2500 miles. So if you do the math at 2500 divided by 10 would equal 250 days. With 30 days a month that means it would take about 5 months not counting any problems enroute.
