Actually there is no such thing as a true albino guinea pig. Albinism is a genetic condition that cannot occur in guinea pigs. The correct term is "pink-eyed white" or just PEW for short. It is simply a type of coat and eye color combination. A PEW has the same lifespan as any other color of guinea pig.
However, there is a type of white guinea pig that usually doesn't live as long as other guinea pigs. This type is called lethal white and this genetic problem occurs when two dalmatian, two roan or a dalmatian and a roan guinea pig are bred together. Babies born with two genes for the dalmatian/roan coat pattern are born pure white, blind and usually with other serious medical issues. Most are deaf and have serious dental issues as well. The majority of these pups die within hours of birth because of problems with the GI tract but the rare one can live a couple of years or longer if cared for properly.
