What happens if no info is exchanged after an accident but a police report was filed?
So I was in an accident that was my fault and it involved two other cars. One car was a taxi so their accident investigator came to the scene as well as the police. I was asked what happened by the police and I answered him and gave him my info, he asked the other two drivers as well. I received a ticket and was allowed to leave but I never gave the other two drivers my info. What happens now? Do I contact my insurance company? Are the other two drivers going to contact them, if so how? I'm very confused as to what to do. The cab company did give me there info so I have that but that's all. Any answers?

Can a police office keep the driving license while giving citation?
Yes, Police / State Troopers / Federal Agents need to know who they are talking to. Your Drivers Licence is a form of identification recognised by Law. The information of that Licence is used by Police through the computer system to check who you are, what other names you are known by, and if Police have outstanding warrants out on you

Are police required to make out a police report on all of the calls they respond to?
When a uniformed officer or a sheriff's deputy is responding to a Part I crime, they are required to write a report. Civil complaints, land lord tenant disputes, and other non- criminal offenses do not require a police report. The officer may write some comments on the mobile display terminal, but they will not write a report.

What are the police department policy of police brutality?
It depends on the particular department. The general opinion among police officers is that the term is used too much and is used as a weapon by criminals and people with agendas. Usually, there is an internal affairs or professional standards office within the department. They investigate ALL police shootings to determine if they were justified, and any complaints from the general public. Law enforcement's answer to police brutality is often to turn the other cheek. This is commonly known as the "Blue Wall of Silence" which unfortunately happens way too often.

In non-democratic countries citizen complaints can vary. People who live in democratic countries learn about the complaints of people in the former type of government from refuges or from ambassadors in such a nation.
