A web site I visited says thawing in refrigerator will take 4 to 5 hours per pound for a small ham, and 5 to 7 hours for a large ham. To thaw in cold water, it takes 2 to 3 hours for a small ham and 30 minutes per pound for a large ham.
Cold water method doesn't make sense. Why would a large ham take less time? Should that be 30 minutes per pound for a small ham and 2-3 hours for a large ham?
No, they mean 2 to 3 hours TOTAL TIME to thaw a small ham in water, and 30 minutes PER POUND to thaw a large ham.
You can cook a 7 lb. ham 49 minutes on 325. The rule is too cook a ham 7 minutes per pound at a fairly low temperature so it doesn't dry out.
Depends on thawing conditions,
Fridge 2-3 days
Counter Top 1-2 days
2 hrs or till 140 degrees inside
for as long as you cook your mom
2*5 hours
If the ham is fully cooked, there is no need to cook it any further. You could serve it just as it is...even cold. You may wish to heat the ham before serving it, but that shouldn't take very long in the oven, maybe an hour at 350 degrees. The crock pot could take a lot longer and would over-cook the ham.
Usual you cook a ham 20 minutes per pound at 325

20 min per lb.
90 minutes
About 5 hours for a 10-lb ham.
About 1.5 to 2 hrs, depending on the type of ham. Meat thermometer inserted into the ham should read 170F or 77 C.
6 hrs
i would recommend that you cook a whole ham long and slowly. say at about 150 degrees celcius for about 3 hours or so... of course this depends on the size of your ham... if it is very large you should cut it in half first and cook them like i said above. i would also recommend that you cover the ham in honey.. mustard powder and a sprinkle of brown sugar before putting it in the oven hope this helps.... =P
8 to 10 min per pound up to a 16 lb turkey! So a 16lb turkey at 10 min a pound = about 3 hours!
It is pre-cooked....so you don't have to cook it at all. You may eat it cold. If you prefer to eat it warm or hot you may warm in microwave or oven. The best way to heat a ham in the oven is to place it in a glass dish and cover the top of it with tinfoil...then bake at 350 degrees. The amount of time to bake is based on how warm or hot you want the ham. Cook it to your desired temp and serve.
I'd plan on at least two days in the fridge.
