How long do you get in a year 6 SATs test?
You have 20 mins for the short English writing test, 45 mins for the long English writing test, 45 mins for a level 3-5 maths and 30 mins for a level 6, English and maths 45 mins for a reading test. 45 minutes for paper A levels 3-5 and also 45 minutes for paper B levels 3-5.

No, not anymore in 2009 there was but they have stopped it from 2010. I know this because i am in year 6.

Yes they have been cancelled... however, it is still optional whether the school would like to do them. If your school will not be doing SATs, you will have a end of year assessment! NEW USER Yes they have been cancelled... however there will be test's will still be carried out too judge what SET your child is in for Maths English and Science once they are in year 10 .. but the overall SATS are cancelled ... they are only simple non pressurised test's :)
Why should you not ban sats?
its not exactly banned but has been withdrawn from the tests as the test are being done in year five on 2009 exactly.

You usually take 2 sets of SATs in your life: one in Year two when you are 6 or 7, and one in Year 6 when you are 10 or 11. Some schools do 'practise' SATs inbetween, and schools used to do SATs in Year Nine as well

Well I am going into year 6 and I have seen on the news that not many school's are having SATS this year. But I don't know what schools that is of course, I don't know if I am having SATS, I don't think I am, WHOOP, are you going into year 6?
