Hardtack will stay fresh as long as it is kept dry.

In colonial times, hardtack was baked four times, rather than the more common two, it was prepared six months before sailing, and it would stay intact for years.

Cook it for 30 minutes each baking sheet at 375 degree (or 350 degree if you have a convection oven.)
