If they are already cooked, you only need to steam them long enough to make them hot again, maybe 15 minutes at most
5-7 minutes till tender. Longer then 10 and the chemical sinigrin may be released resulting in the nasty taste they are known for.

By taking wonderful, healthy vegetables and putting them in the microwave, you are zapping out all of the healthy, living, beneficial nutrients you are eating the vegetables for! Steaming is the way to go, on stovetop, or in a pan with a little filtered or otherwise purified water. Eat & Live Well!

One cup of fresh green beans with a bit of water takes about 3-4 minutes to cook in a microwave oven. Increase time by about 2 minutes for each cup of beans, checking frequently for done-ness. Canned green beans only need about 2 minutes to warm 2 cups with a bit of liquid.
