How long should you WAIT?!??! AAAACK ..its time for YOU to bring up the topic! I'm not saying you have to buy a ring and propose to him, but five years is more than enough time to have the discussion about commitment. Ask him if you see a future for the two of you. Does he see you growing old together? Buying a house? Joint savings account? Having kids? Don't dance around the subject. Some guys are just on auto pilot. If "it ain't broke, don't fix it." Have "the" talk with him. Find out what his true feelings are so you can either start planning that wedding and that future or so you can move on. ~ T == Answer== If neither of you has brought up the topic and discussed marriage in five years, it's time you did so. If he hedges or gives reasons why he can't see himself getting married in another year, it's up to you to decide what's more important to you, a long term relationship with him without marriage or finding someone who has the same views on marriage as you.
