OK this is based on you maintaining the battery and the charging system properly. On average 5 to 7 years for the average domestic vehicle. Now when I say maintaining your battery and charging system properly, this means yearly maintenance on the battery cells, battery posts and cables and checking the alternator belt tension. See everyone is told to get maintenance free batteries however in actual fact they still need to be maintained. As the charging system recharges the battery, the acid in the battery (sulfuric acid) starts to boil as it takes on a charge. When this happens the fluid levels in the cells will, over time start to drop exposing the tops of the cells to the air and this exposure will start to corrode the tops plates of the cells. Once the cells start to corrode they will start to loose the ability to hold a charge due to internal short circuiting inside the battery. If you are mechanically inclined you can check these fluid levels and top the cells up with distilled water to the bottom of the plastic ring inside the cell opening. If you are not so inclined don't attempt to do battery maintenance yourself, sulfuric acid is not friendly to clothing, skin, eyeballs or any other portion of the human anatomy. Get you charging system and battery checked by your local mechanic or service station. This will save you grief down the road and extend the life of your battery big time
Car batteries last four to five years on average.
The average car battery last around three years. The battery life may shorten, if the car is in extreme heat or cold, lights are left on often, and if the car is enchanced for racing.
As long as the battery is kept charged then it should last 3-5 years.
a car battery last for about 3-5 years
about 5 years
Average life is from 3-5 years. If you run the battery down you shorten it's life.
Car batteries are not make or model specific. Most car batteries last approximately five years. After five years it is just a matter of time as to when the battery will fail. Obviously the brand and type of battery you buy will affect the lifespan, ie: you buy a cheap battery and you will not get a decent lifespan. It is generally a good idea to check the warranty on a battery before buying it, this will give you some idea of how long it will last.
A lot of things can affect how long a car battery can last. If you feel your battery went dead too soon, take the car in and have it looked over by a professional. Also, make sure you turn your lights off, etc. when not using your car.
most battery last five years
Like any type of battery, an electric car batteryhas limited capacity, which means that it can only store a certain amount of electrical energy. How long the battery lasts in your electric car depends on its capacity and how it is used. On average, a fully charged battery in an electric car will last between 150 and 300 miles. You can recharge the battery with a plug in the wall, so you don't have to worry about electric car battery cost every time it runs out. Electric car battery technology is constantly advancing, and in the future there are expected to be electric cars that can last even longer between charges.
3 to 5 years is about average
Car battery coupons usually last about 2 months. Once you find a coupon, I would buy a new batter.
