The egg tooth disappears after two weeks of life.
Until the baby is big enough not to be injured by the male
No. Chickens are warm blooded birds. Just like any warm blooded creature (e.g. humans), if they stay too cold for too long, they will die. If the egg is cold, the chick will die before the egg can hatch. That's why hens sit on their eggs to keep them warm.
At 4 or 6 months you need to separate the baby the mother will need to dry up and no the momma will not wean the baby it will let it keep suckling and as long as its suckling the mother will still produce milk
8 to 10 cm
Chicks will wander away in a farmyard. Mother hen usually will call it back to the brood but if that does not work, there are things you can do. Take mother hen and the rest of her family to a safe area. Bring mother hen back to the area you found her and she will make the right noise to call all her brood, the lost chick will likely come back. If that does not work, start searching any areas where the chick might hide like hay bales and long grass.
Yes, but not long distance!
This is often a worry to novice breeders. Once the chick starts to peep or break open the shell it can take as long as 24 hours to complete the job. Chicks to not usually start and complete the task without a rest since it is such a hard job. It is important to keep the humidity levels high in the incubator to keep the chick lubricated during this task of it will dry to the membrane and be unable to move.
well unless your having a baby tooth extracted there should be no other tooth that comes in.
about a year for sure
Two weeks.
A chick is a young bird! An elephant is a mammal. So unless 'magic' is involved, a chick will never grow into an adult elephant.
long in the tooth
It depends on a number of factors. Was the baby tooth loose at the time? If so, the permanent tooth should begin erupting into the mouth within just a few days or weeks. If the baby tooth was not loose, it could take several months, depending on the state of development of the permanent tooth. After taking an x-ray of the area, a dentist could make a fairly accurate prediction of how long the permanent tooth will take to grow in. If the baby tooth was lost prematurely, a space maintainer might need to be placed to prevent future orthodontic or occlusion problems. Check with a dentist.
2 hour's
its fine as long as it was a baby tooth. it will eventually sand down the sharp edges and fall out and he/she will be fine. if its an addult tooth take him/her to the vet to possibly get it pulled.
yep as long as the chick has started her period she can have a baby xx
You can't, there's an ACTUALL baby chick in there.
