If it occurred after your 18th birthday, it will remain a permanent part of your criminal history record.
Yes, You can even work if you have been a felon.
No he hasnt
If you've been convicted in the past and have served your sentence, and aren't under travel restrictions, yes. If you are currently wanted for a Class B misdemeanor, your name may be flagged as a wanted person, and you cross the border at your own peril.
If you were over 18 at the time of the conviction, you cannot get the conviction expunged or removed from your record. You could try to go back to the state court and ask the judge to set aside the conviction or enter a lesser conviction; but you would most likely need the prosecutor to agree to this because if you take the case to the court on merits alone, you will likely lose. You could ask the Governor for pardon. A Class C Misdemeanor is pretty insignificant in the whole scope of things. It does little to effect employment or other aspects of life. Most folks are concerned with felonies or offenses of dishonesty. I wouldn't spend the time or money on a Class C Misdemeanor. Always be honest if you are ask whether you have ever been arrested or have any convictions; when you tell them the offense is a Class C Misdemeanor, they will likely be okay with it. Good luck.
Consult your doctor.
it hasnt
It depends on where in Texas & what there record retention policy is. But generally, TX records have been computerized & placed on-line from 1976-Present.
Depends on the hiring Company and the nature of the Misdemeanor. If you contact the local court where the Misdemeanor was judged, you can get an expungement easily. Expungement is the erasure of the record after a period of time where no new and similar crimes have been committed. It is well worth the paper work (lots of it)to achieve a clean record. Back to the main question. As long as the Misdemeanor was not of a violent nature (domestic dispute does not count at the Misdemeanor level)or one of theft or the like, you should have no trouble getting hired. Most employers are not interested in Misdemeanor convictions of any type they only look at the Felonies. Y-THINK-Y
it hasnt.
YOu were born with one & if it hasnt been removed you have an appendix.
Once you get a felony on your record it is their to stay, especially a class A felony.
You can get a CDL... but nobody will hire you with a record like that.
