Your dog will produce milk as long as there is a demand put on her by the puppies. The pups should stay with their Mom 8 weeks but should be weaned at around 3-4 weeks of age. You should introduce softened dry puppy food mixed with canned milk (diluted 1 part water to 1 part canned milk). Do not feed regular cow's milk as will cause diarrhea. You can stop adding the canned milk at about 4 weeks and just feed the softened mushy dry puppy food soaked in warm water and then feed it drier as the pups age. By 5-6 weeks they should be crunching on dry puppy food. Mom needs to not be nursing them at all, so her milk will dry up.

Note: Mom dog should be fed a good name brand puppy food while nursing her pups and pups should be put on the same good name brand dry puppy food too. Don't feed cheap generic dry puppy food.
