This will not take long. If you put a male with the female, make sure they do not fight. The female will let you know if she is willing to breed. The act is quite quick and does not last long.
It just depends on if the female refuses to be mounted on. Sometimes it could take a month, sometimes a week.
i have had 5 guinea pigs in my life. so i am a guinea pig pro.
mother guinea pigs are pregnant for 3 months or more.

They are generally pregnant anywhere from 60 to 72 days. You can generally tell they're getting close when their abdomen gets really round so they're somewhat "light bulb" shaped. Also, try not to handle your guinea pig in the last couple of weeks of her pregnancy as you could accidentally harm the pups or stress out the momma (guinea pig babies are called pups).
59-72 days. so at the longest a little more then 10 weeks.
The gestation period (or how long the its pregnant) is 72 days.
After this time you can be expecting your little ones!
Well, usually guinea pigs pregnancy lasts from 60 to 75 days. I hope this information has helped you with the care of your little piggy!! :D
A guinea pig is pregnant for about 9 weeks.
About 9 to 10 weeks.
They can be pregnant but it is not fair for a baby guinea pig to have to hold up to 8 guinea pigs. There is a very high chance they will die. I had a guinea pig that was pregnant when I got her(she was 14 weeks when she had babies) and she had 2 babies and tey all survived.
I don't think there is a test to tell if a guinea pig is pregnant, but a pregnant guinea pig will not let you rub its stomach. If you are still unsure, take your guinea pig to a vet.
Yes, guinea pigs who have not been pregnant can still have teats.
My guinea pig was pregnant toI recently bought my guinea pig from pets mart. I had my guinea pig for 1 week and then one night i went in to say good night and there were three baby's in there with her. Unfortunately for me they were dead. It was unexpected and a total and complete shock. She was only 3 months old!!! LUCKILY though my guinea pig is happy and health to this day. I just tried to push the past out of my mind. If you think your guinea pig is pregnant take her to a vet. And handle her with care, and if possible don't handle her as much if she is pregnant. ALSO don't get your hopes up if she is young and pregnant the chances the babies will live to be healthy and the mom is very not likely but miracles happen hope things turn out for the best, a.m.l they may have been pregnant or housed with a male before you bought it. No, not at one week, but they can become pregnant at three weeks old. Mine had that problem she is 12 weeks and is going to give birth any day now ^ they say a guinea pig can get pregnant at 4 weeks old....we also have a guinie pig who we got already pregnant....when a guinia pig has babys u need to split the boys from the girls at 4 weeks as brothers can get there sister or mother pregnant at this age ...they r then pregnant for about 9 / 10 weeks .... and babys will be born with fur and eyes open
it will have the babies 4 days after u realised it
a guinea pig is pregnant from 9 to 10 weeks
3-4 weeks before giving birth your guinea pig will put on a lot of wieght. She wil start to form a shape like a pear/bell.If your guinea pig is pregnant 2 weeks before giving birth you be able to feel the babies move.

No the guinea pig will no get pregnant.

Only the guinea pig she mated with but be sure to separate them after birth
When I got my guinea pig, we didn't know she was pregnant, so about a month later, my sister got one that wasn't pregnant. It was a little less that a month after that that my guinea pig had 2 babies. During that time, though, Molly, the pregnant guinea pig, was acting very territorial, and Milly, the non pregnant guinea pig, was staying by herself and not having anything to do with Molly. So make sure that if you put a pregnant guinea pig with a non pregnant guinea pig, that the non pregnant guinea pig is a girl, or else there WILL be trouble.
A guinea pig can only get pregnant if a male guinea pig has humped it. A guinea pig may have fallen pregnant while it was in the pet shop or where ever you got it. Now if you think she is pregnant it is important to research breeding guinea pigs.

No, only girls get pregnant :)
