If it was issued as the result of a traffic offense, it will always appear on your drivers record. If the 'ticket' was simply a summons to juvenile court, your record will be sealed when you turn 18.

Not sure. Have you inquired about going to Traffic School? If you complete Traffic School, most moving violations will be erased from your driving record (in California anyway) and won't affect your insurance rates. If you haven't been to Traffic School in the last 18 months, then you should contact the Traffic Court and request it immediately. If you qualify, then you will be given a list of Traffic Schools you may attend. Traffic school can be done online at your own pace and for for under $30.00. Hope this helps.
