As with all courier services, it depends on what service is selected but looking at the US Post Office website--http://www.usps.com--it seems that the longest time to get a package across the state will be a maximum of three courier days. So, for example, if the package is picked up in tomorrow's (Wednesday, December 24th's) mail, then it will arrive on Monday, December 29th since December 25th is a holiday for obvious reasons and no delivery or other processing for most items takes place on Sundays.
As a general rule of thumb, for first-class mail (most letters, postcards, and other such items), if it is being delivered within the local mail area, service will take only one day. If it is outside of the local service area but within the same state, delivery will be two days. All other domestic locations in the 48 contiguous states will be three days. Media mail (which is what I used to give you an estimate) can take a bit longer, so even though the delivery is within the same state, it takes an extra day than the rule of thumb.
