Don't leave young kids alone in Kentucky. A child should not be left home alone in Kentucky until they are 11 years of age. There is no law per se, but I work in the child welfare arena and if your child is younger than this and being left alone child protective services will take a report and investigate a child left alone younger than 11. There still may be a report if a child is older than 11 and they are left for long periods of time. It's also not a good idea to let children younger than 13 babysit for younger children. I work for Child Protective Services in Louisville KY, and we investigate cases of children under the age of eight when they are left alone. Children above that age can be left alone for a couple of hours and we look at the maturity level of the children up to 12 years of age. There is no law in KY that addresses this issue.
An adult small intestine is close to 22 feet long.
Of course, as long as the father has not been deemed unfit by the court. The process should already be underway if the baby has been abused by the mother. The father should already be in contact with Child Protective Services in order to protect his child and document the abuse. He needs to file a petition for full custody.Of course, as long as the father has not been deemed unfit by the court. The process should already be underway if the baby has been abused by the mother. As long as it takes to investigate and gather enough evidence to support the charge.
This is a very serious occurance. I say to ask if he/she has ever thought of telling somone who can put the abuse to an end (an adult..). If this is a very close friend, in the long run, he/she will thank you for encouraging him/her to come forward as this leaves a LOT of psychologically damaging footprints. Do whatever you can to help this friend and insure his/her safety Answer If you feel the person being abused cannot handle the situation and is in danger you should contact the authorities in your area. The authorities can vary widely depending on where you live. In the US there is the Adult Protective Services, Child Protective Services, the police, etc. If you are unsure of who can help you in your particular area, do an internet search using the terms "how to report physical abuse in _______" blank being your city, town, etc. If you cannot find answers there you can contact a local church or place of worship and they can provide resources that can assist.
