Yes, they do. Lizards and snakes both shed their skin when they've outgrown it. They start the process by rubbing on rocks or tree bark or something rough. This helps them break the dead skin and push it away, leaving fresh new skin beneath.

A growing leopard gecko will shed it skin every 30 days. A full grown leopard gecko will shed every 30-60 days. It is best to provide your animal with a humid hide to ensure that the gecko can seek a damper area if necessary.

Yes. Leopard Gekos routinely eat their shed. It seems gross to us, but it's a good source of protein and calcium for them.

It varies on the gecko. Depending on what kind of gecko it is, it's health, size and age. They should shed on a regular basis if they are healthy. My leopard gecko will shed every 4-6 weeks.

Do leopard geckos HAVE to eat live food?

No. People feed leopard geckos "pinkies" for various reasons. To boost nutrition during a geckos pregnancy. To give a gecko a large feeding so as to not have to feed it for a week (this works well if you want to take a vacation). Some people just think it's entertaining. A Leopard Gecko does not "need" to eat baby mice. Crickets will do.
