first of all what kind of container are u talking about? the one it came in or the aquarium your putting it in. just a little fyi IF YOU ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT YOUR FISH. YOU WILL NEED (1) FILTER (1) HEATER SET TO 80 DEGREES F, YES 80 DEGREES. This is because they are origionally found in the swamps of Cambodia, Thailand, and around that area. (3) the minimal size of the aquarium should be no less that 2.5 gallons THEY NEED TO MOVE AROUND IN ORDER TO STAY HEALTHY AND KEEP A STRONG AMUNE SYSTEM. (5) LIVE PLANT(S) BECAUSE YOU NEED THEM TO FEEL SOMEWHAT INSTINCTIVELY AT HOME. a HELTHY BETTA FISH WILL BUILD A BUBBLE NEST. THEY NEED A HIGH PROTEIN DIET. IN THE WILD THEY EAT INSECTS SUCH AS MOSQUITO LARVA, WORMS FLIES, AND OTHER INSECTS. USE A LOW LEVEL LIGHT BECAUSE THEY ARE USUALLY FOUND IN A MERKEY TYPE WATER. if you do these small things for your fish you will double theri live span and be more lively in general. i have had the same 3 bettas for 5 years and their still healthy and kicking. one is a crowntail and the other two are half moons.
Err, okay, bettas breath air, all fish do, but taking them OUT of water, will kill them in about 1 minute max, bettas require water, to filter through the air in there "lungs", as all fish do, but they gulp air from the top of the tank also.
like only one day. SO FEED YOUR FISH! ITS NEEDS TO LIVE!
I believe I have heard of 17 years for an encased lungfish.
Some common fish are able to survive up to 20 minutes out of water.
about 2-3 days if u dont want to get another betta fish after that one dies get minos they are really cute.
Yes, Betta fish can jump. You can teach them to jump by placing a small amount of food on your finger and when your betta fish is ready, it will jump and take the food off your finger! :)
It depends on the breed ,Betta's can be 5-7 cm and goldfish can grow quite big. Talk to someone at Walmart or petsmart
Before the mating period, the male betta will create a bubble nest, where the eggs will reside. Once the female is near, they will usually fight each other before finally mating. Once they finish, the male will take the eggs in his mouth and put them in the nest. If these are pet betta fish, then the female should be removed after an hour or two.
The Fin regrowth time is Relative to the amount of damage Done, A beta's fins Grow at about the same Rate as a humans finger nails. Hope this helps.
How to change your Betta fish's bowlFirst, fill a cup with your fishes water, and then gentle without hurting your Betta, scoop him up with your net, and then put him in the cup. Then, take the plant out of the bowl, and lay it aside on a paper towel or napkin. Afterwards, take a strainer, and pour the water into the strainer over a sink. Then, wash out the pebbles with nontoxic soap and water. Put your pebbles aside for now. After you did that, fill your fish bowl with warm water only for 5 seconds. Then, take your sponge, and dip it in the warm water, take the same nontoxic soap you used for the pebbles, and add a little to the sponge, and then scrub! Until the algae is gone. then, rinse thoroughly until the suds are gone. Afterwards, put your plastic plant in your fish bowl, and then, dump your pebbles into the fish bowl. After that has been completed, stick your index finger into the fish's cup water (without hitting the fish!) and run the sink to the same temperature as the cup water, and fill it all most all the way. Gently, pick your Betta fish up with your net and then place him into his nice, clean home!Note:If you have clearifire for your fish bowl, use as directed.
A Long life for a Betta is around 30 months.
Bettas are dumb as rocks. If you put another betta, any other anabantid like a gourami, or any long-finned fish in with a betta, the betta will fight it because he will think it's another betta. If you put a short-finned fish in with your betta, they'll live together peacefully.
Betta are social fish. There is nothing wrong.
Take the Betta out as soon as possible.I have a Betta in my tank with other fish, but he doesnt fight with my fish at all.

Betta fishes like any other fish can get stressed by movements. In fact one of the most stressful experiences for a fish is travel from the pet store to a new house. So, depending on the length of the travel, yes, you might be able to take your betta fish. If its a short travel, make sure you double bag and bag again with a bubble wrap and cover it with something dark (so the fish doesn't get stressed by the outside). I don't recommend taking the betta on long distance or on flights. Hope I answered your question. Source: Owner of betta fishes
No, unless the container he/she is in is small
A Betta does not have a "nitrogen cycle"
at least two to six hours that's my estimat bucause my fish took two days to be layed this my cousins time for his fish it dependes on how old they are
i have before. and i just kept them in a class room
It actually depends on how long it has been living. If you were to get a 2-4 year old one, about 3 days. If you were to get one 5+ then 1-4 weeks. Be careful NOT to leave the male betta in with the female too long they will DESTROY each other.
Yes very easy. Fighters are very hardy fish.
