What you do is Delete it but it is not deleted until you go into your recycle ben and actually delete it. so if you delete it or take it to your recycle ben it is there but it is also deleted.

When you delete a file from the trash bin, the data is still there for the file but the reference to the file (the area on the storage device that shows where all the files are) is deleted. You can permanently delete a file by using a program, such as Eraser (http://www.tolvanen.com/eraser/) that writes random data where the file was.

It goes to the Recycle Bin, of course. Then if you delete it the second time (from the Bin), it gets deleted as if you'd deleted it in DOS - which is to say it gets marked as deleted; you can restore it if you don't overwrite it first, and you need to supply the first letter of the file name.
