No, Marines are not authorized to wear their dress blues coat with jeans. The dress blues uniform is typically worn with appropriate uniform trousers or a skirt.
Dress blues, the formal uniform for the U.S. Marine Corps, are typically issued to Marines upon completion of their initial training. New recruits receive their dress blues around the time of their graduation from boot camp or when they attend the School of Infantry. Additionally, Marines may obtain their dress blues through their unit when they are assigned to their first duty station. It’s important for Marines to maintain this uniform for formal events and ceremonies throughout their service.

Be sure to take your wedding dress to a reputable cleaners that does dry clean wedding dresses. It can take two to four days, but you will have to discuss that with the owner.
No. When in public we should be wearing our dress blues if there is a jacket. The green Service uniform is not authorized for public wear. The dress blue coat is worn with an undershirt underneath and if it is taken off then we would not be in full uniform.
three to six months
It depends on the dress. If you buy a pattern it usually tells you how long it takes on the packet, but I would usually times that by 2 or 3 if you're not that used to sewing. It can take anywhere between 1 hour for a simple dress to a week for a full on wedding dress/ball gown with loads of fancy bits. That is using a sawing machine. If you are sewing by hand then it'll take a lot longer.
Depending on where you are ordering it from you should give it at least two months to order and receive your wedding dress.
